Our end of year message comes to you from John Thomas our Director of Community Giving.
As we make our journey through the holiday season and look towards a new year, I can’t help but be thankful for the family and friends I can lean on whenever I need. In contrast, I think about the hundreds of victims and survivors our advocates meet with on a daily basis. I’m talking about folks who in their darkest hour picked up a phone and called our helpline or very courageously walked through the front door of our Outreach Office.
I believe everyone should have at least one friend to call when they need something. This year Peaceful Paths was that friend to over 2,277 survivors. What if one of those survivors is someone you know? What if I told you that together, we can make their support system stronger?
Today, I am excited to announce the launch of the Peaceful Paths Circle of Friends. This membership driven campaign aims to raise $10,000 in monthly gifts of $10, $15 and $20 a month. Think about it, $10 a month is equal to 2 cups of coffee or one lunch out.
What a year 2016 has been for Peaceful Paths. We have seen major momentum in our community towards addressing and ending domestic violence. How will you help carry on that momentum? How will you leave your mark on 2016?
