2019 Holiday Giving Program
It's that time of year again! Our annual Holiday Giving Program will be kicking off in November. We would like to thank our local Publix Supermarkets for their huge role in this wonderful event. This year, each Gainesville Publix will be taking part in our Holiday Giving Program.
Sponsor a wish list this holiday season!
This year make the holiday season a little brighter for the survivors and children we serve by participating in our Holiday Giving Program. This event aims to provide holiday gifts to over 250 survivors and children! Each client who needs support during the holidays works with an advocate to submit a wish list of specific needs and preferences.
How does the program work?
Beginning on November 23rd, you can adopt a family in need at your neighborhood Publix. Choose a "wish list" from the Christmas tree, purchase the wish list items, and bring them back to the Publix Customer Service Desk (unwrapped). There will be wish lists from families of varying sizes to choose from. All gifts should be turned in by Monday, December 9th, 2019*.
*Publix will have donor information forms that you can pick up with your wish list so that we can thank you. Otherwise, please note that your donation is anonymous to us.
If you are interested in sponsoring a wish list and prefer to get your list directly from Peaceful Paths, please email Stephanie Freas at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 352-377-5690 to get started!
Another way to participate in our Holiday Giving Program is to shop on our Amazon Wish List today! These items will utilized to fill wish list gaps for families in need.
As a reminder, if purchasing on Amazon, please use smile.amazon.com and select Peaceful Paths as your preferred organization. Amazon donates 0.5% of your purchase back to your preferred nonprofit!
NEW Pay it Forward Advent Calendar!
As an option for supporting us during the holidays, we are introducing the Pay It Forward Advent Calendar! This is a great way for families, businesses, classrooms and organizations to give back during the holiday season by donating what survivors need most!
You simply get a box or bag and add an item for each day of the giving calendar (November 15 - December 15). Once it's filled, bring the completed box to our Outreach Center at Peaceful Paths. Donations can be received any day in December that the office is open, as well as the first week of January! We are closed December 24, 25 and January 1.
