Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
End of Year Support to Survivors
How Does it Work?
As a nonprofit organization, Peaceful Paths is eligible to receive QCD donations and put them immediately to use supporting survivors of domestic violence in Alachua, Bradford and Union Counties.
Individuals over 70.5 years of age are eligible to contribute up to $108,000 annually to nonprofit organizations like Peaceful Paths through their financial advisors in lieu of taking a required minimum distribution. Married couples are eligible to contribute $216,000 annually.
QCD’s can made directly to Peaceful Paths from a traditional or inherited IRA, inactive SEP Plans and inactive SIMPLE IRA Plans. Contact your financial institution for details on how to designate your distribution to supportive survivors and their families.
What your QCD Supports:
Last year Peaceful Paths provided more than 60,000 services for survivors of domestic violence including case management and advocacy, childcare and youth support, safety planning, financial literacy, housing support, legal assistance, and general outreach advocacy services. In 2024, we provided $537,185 of client assistance funds to empower survivors as they found a path forward to self-sufficiency and relationships free of violence. All services are free and confidential.
