2020 Neighborly November Program
Tis the Season of Giving! November is historically a great time of year to pay it forward to our community. We've got several ways you can support local families impacted by domestic violence this month and help to "pay it forward" to those in need.
At any given time of year, Peaceful Paths is working with over 300 families in our residential and outreach programs in Alachua, Bradford, and Union Counties. If your family or business would like to give back and help one or more families have a more festive holiday season, please read below. All donors will be sent a letter of thanks as well as a receipt for tax purposes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Stephanie at email@example.com.
Provide a Holiday Meal Kit:
Our Holiday Meal Kits are a perfect way to support families during the holidays . Donors that wish to sponsor a meal kit for Thanksgiving, can download our shopping list and provide a yummy un-cooked meal for a family in need. We will distribute the meal kits to our clients so they can enjoy cooking for their families. These items can be dropped off at our Outreach Office by Monday, November 23.
If you'd like to sponsor a family meal kit, we estimate that each kit is approximately $50 per family. Please click on the donate button below and donate on our website. In the notes section of the donation, please indicate you are sponsoring a Holiday Meal Kit.
#GivingTuesday: December 1, 2020
First started in 2012, Giving Tuesday is a special international day of giving each year meant to unofficially “open the giving season.”
This time of year had previously been linked to spending and shopping – some of the more materialistic endeavors that, for many, conflicts with the intended spirit of the holiday. Giving Tuesday started as a movement to fundamentally shift the sentiment around this time of year, from buying to giving – from selfish to selfless – from focusing on the economy to focusing on the community.
In this unprecedented year of challenge and change, it is more important than ever to support our community & to have and give hope. #GivingTuesday is officially the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, but in the spirit of giving, we'd encourage you to donate when you are able and moved to do so. If you'd like to support our mission to save lives and create change, please visit our website link.
